Burn Your Boats

Most people made their achievements when they face a little pressure. This pressure will make us work hard and don’t have the mind to sit idle unless the goal is achieved.

There is a story of the famous Spanish explorer, Hernado Lortes. He landed in the beach of Mexico in 1519 with his army. He ordered his troops to burn the boats as soon as he reached. He knew this will create a pressure in the soldiers as there is no survival for them unless they win the battle. There is no other escape root for them other than that. This created an urgency in them to finish the battle as soon as possible and eventually the pressure will go from them.

But we should take care as we should not allow the tension to control us.

Should Gay Marriage Legalized?

It is a well known fact that homosexuality was always there in history. But in later stage it became unacceptable by many. Becoming a Gay or Lesbian is inborn and it is controlled by their hormones. They are helpless and they cannot be changed. As we get attracted towards the opposite sex they get attracted towards same sex due to the brain pattern and hormone release.blogABN. As we can never imagine to have sex with the same sex the homosexuals cant imagine to do it with the opposite. As we got the right to marriage, they should also get the same as they are also humans. The pressure from 'certain groups' should be ignored as they always have a narrow minded approach. blogABNThink and behave like a human being and fight for human rights.

Still there are lot of debate going on. Everyone got the liberty to live their own life. If two people wish to stay together, why others are opposing it. Think like a human being and don't mix religion with this. We are living in 21st century and we should make changes wherever necessary as no religion preaches war but still war is going on. Then why we cannot consider when it comes to human rights.

Men and Women, Are They Same?

Some say men and women are the same and no one should show any difference between them, even if he is a scientist. The well known fact both men and women behaves like people form two different planet is not acceptable by many, specially the feminist. It should be noted that these feminist, most of them dress like men, try to behave like them and in many case they are not married. The fact that they should be given equal opportunity. But not like what they say in India, to reserve some seats only for women. What is the use of it? They should understand men got some special talent and the work which is meant for them should be done by them. Similarly women ot their talents and they should excel in those fields. By making the word same or equating each other doesn’t make any sense.

Western Countries Boycott Racism Forum

Washington has confirmed it will boycott a UN forum on racism in Geneva next week because of differences over Israel and the right to free speech. The state department said the proposed text of the conference's guiding document remained unacceptable despite having been amended significantly. The US and Israel quit a similar forum in Durban in 2001 when its draft document likened Zionism to racism. Current language about "incitement to religious hatred" also alarms the US.

Italy and Germany were the last to confirm Sunday they will not participate in a major United Nations conference on racism that opens Monday in Geneva, which is being boycotted by the United States and Israel, as Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad described Israel as the "flag bearer of racism."

The growing western boycott of the Durban Review Conference comes amid fears that it will be the forum for a lambasting of Israel. Australia, Canada, the Netherlands and Sweden earlier said they were boycotting the event. The U.S. and Israel boycotted the original Durban conference in 2001 over an attempt to equate Zionism with racism. Belgium's foreign ministry said earlier Sunday that consultations were continuing with a view to getting as many EU member states as possible to participate.

The Czech Republic, which holds the rotating EU presidency, called a meeting for Sunday evening to evaluate the bloc's stance on attending. France announced that it will attend. Britain, however, will send a delegation to the conference, albeit without a high-level official. However the Vatican, which has observer status at the United Nations, confirmed Sunday that it would attend.

Price of Young Actor - $296,000

British newspaper News of the World claims that Rafiq Qureshi, father to nine-year-old Ali, offered to sell the little actress to a "fake sheik" planted by the paper.

"I have to consider what's best for me, my family and Rubina's future," Qureshi, who lives in the poverty-stricken area of Mumbai, reportedly told the undercover operative. "We've got nothing out of this film."

News of the World claims that its reporters posed as a wealthy family from Dubai. According to the paper, the offer to the undercover reporters wasn't the first one he made.

"They were approached by one wealthy Middle Eastern family who saw their plight in an item on Al Jazeera TV. The couple expressed an interest in adopting young Rubina and her parents' eyes lit up," says the paper's informant. "But the approach has made Rafiq very greedy and he has said that he will consider the highest offer for his child. But they realize that the money will soon stop coming in and Rafiq is open to all offers."

The paper's representative claims to have approached Quershi as a representative of a Dubai family looking to adopt Ali. He says the he was originally quoted a fee of 50,000 British pounds to "for this to happen." However, upon personal contact, the price allegedly jumped to 200,000 British pounds.

Justifying the inflated price tag, Qureshi's brother, Mohiuddin, supposedly declared, "The child is special now. This is NOT an ordinary child. This is an Oscar child!"

Slumdog Millionaire, in which Ali had starred as youngest Latika, won an Oscar for best picture, along with seven other Academy Awards.

Last week, it was announced that the producers of the film will be donating $742,000 to help the children of Mumbai, and have set up a separate trust to provide for Ali and costar Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail's healthcare and education.

Somali Pirates Sieze Two More Cargos

Somali pirates have seized two more ships, throwing down the gauntlet to US President Barack Obama after he pledged to curb piracy. It brought to four the number of vessels taken since the US navy operation on Sunday which saved an American skipper but led to the deaths of three pirates, upping the stakes in the dangerous waters off the Horn of Africa.Pirates off the coast of Somalia, who took two ships on Tuesday, also attacked a US-flagged freighter with rocket fire and automatic weapons on the same day, but the vessel escaped with minor damage, the ship's owners said in a statement. The MV Irena, a 35,000-tonne Greek-operated merchant vessel, was hijacked in the Gulf of Aden on Tuesday, the European Union's naval mission in the area said. The 22 Filipino crewmen are believed to be safe.

Hours later a NATO spokeswoman said a second freighter, Lebanese-owned and flying a Togolese flag, had been seized by pirates off the Horn of Africa, the 10th hijacking in the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean this month.

They are angry with the US and threatened to attack any US ships passing that region.

First Phase Election Starts on 16th in India

First Phase election starts in India from 16th. This time most number of young votes are recorded in Indian history.

Each vote is valuable and we should vote to make the change in the country. By not voting and making speeches worse than the politician makes no use to the country. Each vote can make a lot of change, which counts and reflects the view of people. At least it will create a tension among politician if every one goes for polling.

So cast your vote and make the change as no external force can strengthen our country, instead the internal force, WE can make the change in our country. So as some channels say ROCK YOUR VOTE. And like the Tata tea campaign, those who are not voting is sleeping. They are more or less useless to the country.

The Pirates Vowed to Show No Mercy to Americans in Future

Pirates of Somalia has vowed that in future they will not show any mercy to the American hostages in future. The real intention of the pirates are money. They are not much interested in killing of hostages. At last stage they didn't demand any ransom, instead they asked a free passage for them to escape. But the US navy shot them with snipers. This made the pirates more angry and in future they may target the US ships alone. At present the Taliban in Somalia and the pirates are not in good terms there. But enemy's enemy can be friends. Taking this situation into account the US should worry as Taliban can supply arm and aid to the pirates and in return they will share the ransom amount. Moreover the killing of Americans will be suppoted by Taliban. This will create a pressure in the US government to invade Somalia and make a 'stable' government as in Iraq and Afganistan. If the recession was not in its peak, they would have no problem in doing this. But for another invasion they have to wait till the Iraq troop withdrawal and economy becomes stable.

The US Navy Seals Rescued The Ship From Somali Pirates

The week long standoff between Somali pirates and the U.S. flagged ship ended on Sunday when the U.S. Navy killed the pirates holding a U.S. captive. After the pirates were shot, the captain was rescued unharmed.

The conflict began when pirates boarded the Maersk Alabama, a Danish-operated vessel with a U.S. crew, as it attempted to deliver aid to African refugees. Pirates apparently sought to extort a ransom for the return of the crew and cargo, but the crew members overpowered at least one of the four pirates, causing the other attackers to flee with the captain of the ship as a hostage.

The 20 unarmed crew members then negotiated an exchange of the pirate for the captain, who was taken off the ship with the pirates in one of the vessel's life boats, a self-contained enclosed vehicle. But after the crew released the pirate, the pirates refused to release the captain.

Captain Richard Phillips was held hostage by the pirates for days, even attempting to escape once, before the U.S. Navy was able to shoot the pirates on Sunday. Three of the pirates reportedly stood in visible sight of Navy sharpshooters while the fourth pirate was on board the USS Bainbridge attempting to negotiate a settlement to the standoff.

The incident came in a week in which six ships were hijacked by heavily armed pirates in the area, but it was the first American ship to be hijacked since the Barbary Wars, two conflicts between the U.S. and the Barbary States in North Africa in the early 19th century.

President Barack Obama reportedly gave the order allowing U.S. sharpshooters to take out the pirates if the captain's life was in danger.

Somali Pirates Sieze US Cargo with 20 US Crew

The Danish-owned and US-flagged 17,000-tonne Maersk Alabama, was seized as it passed 400 miles north-east of Mogadishu. Its immediate destination was not known to the world. The attack took place despite the presence of a multi-national naval task force patrolling the waters off Somalia to deter pirates, including the Indian Navy.

“A US-flagged and Danish owned container vessel reported that it had been boarded by pirates at 730am local time today,” said Lt Stephanie Murdock, spokesman for the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet, based in Bahrain. This is the first time the US citizens had been hijacked. This will be another hard test for Obama midst of recession. This is the sixth successful hijack by the pirates of Somalia within the past four days. The unstable government is able control the situation.

A British cargo ship, named the Malaspina Castle, and her of 24 were hijacked on Monday. But most of the crews were Bulgarians. An international naval task force, including Indian Navy warships, is deployed to patrol the waters Somalia to overcome the pirates. Last year the Somalian pirates attacked more than 130 vessels, mostly of them in Gulf of Aden, out of which 50 were successful hijackings.

Recently there was an attack by Taliban supporters in Somalia against the pirates. May be they are afraid of the US intervention in this region.

Obama's Surprise Iraq Troop Visit

Obama made an unscheduled visit to Iraq. He was touring the Europe and Balkan regions. His last visit was in Turkey and was scheduled to return. But he visited the troops in Iraq. After the visit only media got the news. There is also news that because of security issue the visit was not mentioned in the schedule. Everyone was surprise by his visit in such a volatile situation there. Any way his declaration of handing over Iraq to their soldiers gained popularity among the US citizens. Last day in Turkey he made a comment that the US is not in a war against Islam, but definitely the Islam is in a war with the US.

Its evident from his speech, his policy slightly different from George Bush. May be because it is a recession time. He may get another chance for a war once it strengthens the economic condition.

Run for Your Hunt

Every morning in Africa a deer wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed.

Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest deer or it will starve to death.

It doesn't matter if you are a lion or a deer. When the sun comes up. you would better be running.

Quantity With Quality

Earlier the population of India was considered as quantity without any quality. But they have changed this saying to some extend with revolution in education. We can be the most developed by being the most educated population in the world. The young Indians got more access to the books during the best period of their learning age. This helped in the improvement in reading habit which resulted in their thinking habit too. They have realized by reading more they can shrink the timeline to a great extend. The more he reads the more knowledgeable he becomes in a short span of time. The reading habit should be made from the childhood itself, in such a way that it should be very difficult for it to die. It should look like we got to reading habit in our gene.
